There is no doubt that the clothes are equally essential to the MTV VMAs as the celebration of brilliance and creativity in the music video industry. On the white carpet this year at the VMAs in Madison Square Garden on Sunday, August 28, celebrities wore some outrageous attire. One aspect of this particular awards ceremony that I adore is that there is no such thing as overdoing the eccentricity—after all, we all remember what Miley wore in previous years. Celebrities upped their fashion game this year, and it was DEFINITELY a spectacle.

What a star—not only did Beyoncé beat Madonna's record for the most VMA victories, but also performed a medley of "Lemonade" hits and appeared on the white carpet looking just fantastic. In a transparent, feathery gown, the diva dazzled. She still slayed in my thoughts despite the numerous memes that compared her to the Muppets, Christmas decorations, and even a lovely bird.
