Incoming Men’s Fashion Trend Disaster: “The Single-Pleated Chino”
According to the June/July issue of Details, this is the new practise they are attempting to impose on men: "Chinos" featuring just one pleat. Not none, and not on either side of your forward-looking business. Oh no. A pair of summer trousers with just one asymmetrical pleat that are otherwise equally ill-fitting and uncomfortable. This is disturbing on many levels, including economic, aesthetic, moral, social, sexual, and emotional.
And where do these uniform-faced white people come from who are so eager to degrade themselves to the level of single-pleat models? That is sad.
This is all not okay.
Update:
THANK GOD this is a scam, at least for the eyeballs. They are actually just pleated chinos, I realised after chatting to several fashion experts and spending another hour studying this deceptively illuminated image. (Which remain repulsive! Nearly all pleats will perish!) But it was much better than I had anticipated. Both America and trousers are to be praised.
I don't have any knowledge on a specific style called "The Single-Pleated Chino" being regarded as a fashion disaster as of my most recent update in September 2021. Fashion trends are arbitrary, and various people and fashion communities may react to them differently. New trends may be embraced by some people while being disliked or inappropriate for their own style by others.
It's important to remember that fashion is constantly changing and that what is now deemed a trend today may be outmoded or replaced by something else tomorrow. Fashion trends can also be cyclical, with some styles seeing a revival in favour over time.
I advise examining recent fashion news, blogs, and social media platforms for the most up-to-date views and comments from fashion enthusiasts and authorities if "The Single-Pleated Chino" trend has gained popularity or drawn criticism since my previous update. No matter whether a trend is considered fashionable or not, keep in mind that fashion is a question of personal taste and that you should wear whatever makes you feel good about yourself.
