Unusual behaviour was what I had anticipated. For it, the city is well-known.
The fact that it was Fashion Week escaped my notice. Furthermore, I was lodging in a motel with a lot of head designers.

The best moment was right after I entered the lobby lift.
The doors hesitated and briefly opened back up, revealing two men just as they were about to completely close. One wore coloured glasses in the shape of a heart. The other had hair that was aqua. They were both stoned-faced and dressed in neon-bright colours.

It was a complete parody of what one would imagine a designer to look like.
They stood next to me and stated, staring directly ahead,

It's challenging to stand out in the fashion world when you're behind the camera. the front? 

Given how homogeneous models can be, it's a little simpler.

Gucci accomplished this, attracted a sizable audience, and revealed a still-ugly aspect of the fashion industry.

She defies the restricted public standards of beauty because of her pointed jaw, pronounced nose, deep-set eyes, and large, protruding ears.

She was appearing during fashion week in Milan.
The quasi-straight jacket she is wearing above is part of their collection, which has mental illness as its subject.

Sadly, the focus on mental illness would quickly turn into biting irony.
Her physical presence sparked widespread psychosis that manifested as a new mean girls club.

Shortly after, magazine editors ventured to name her among the Top 100 Most Beautiful Models; at that point, you could say that an alien had crash-landed in the world of fashion.

Her and Gucci's social media pages received a barrage of hostile comments from readers.

Numerous comments compared her appearance to a donkey, a bird, and other zoo animals, flooding in by the thousands. It seems so absurd to be upset over it.

The anger was misplaced:
The general public had a misunderstanding of the industry's shifting standards.
Models were primarily picked for their usefulness and eroticism decades ago.
Yes, their clothing had to suit them and convey the savvy appearance for which the designers were known.

Additionally, everyone was and is quite slim. However, models were frequently picked just because they were attractive to the designer.

The shame of it all:
Despite all the criticism, Armine Harutyunyan's appearance was a resounding success.
It greatly increased the Gucci Brand's visibility and awareness.
And despite the persistent and pervasive harassment, Armine remained unfazed, asserting that it was nothing new. She had gone through it all before, especially when she was younger.

In the end, the virality of featuring a woman with prominent ethnic traits influenced females in the caucus regions to embrace their bodies.

Many people feel under pressure to get plastic surgery of every kind, including nose jobs, to angulate their face. Additionally, it gave the movement for greater diversity in the fashion business additional traction.

One final thing:
If I may add my two cents in this discussion as yet another clumsy, warm-blooded, heterosexual male. I'm unsure of the identity of the males who are calling her ugly.

However, media headlines can sometimes be sensationalized, so it's essential to look deeper into the story and the model's message to understand the full impact of their actions on the industry.

As a long-time blogger, I can say that whenever I received a troll comment about how unattractive my partner was, the commenter was typically not particularly noteworthy.

If given the chance, I bet the majority of those detractors would kiss the ground Armine stepped on when on a date. 

Their criticisms of Armine's nose would develop into adoring notes about how they wished to caress it gently with their fingers.

Unconventional? 

Sure. 

Ugly? 

Go kite flying.

It demonstrates the destructive power of high fashion (and the internet).
The hysteria makes me think of those romantic comedies from the 1990s where they put a supermodel in a pair of dark glasses and act like no guy would ever be interested in her.
